Resources for Parents

Welcome, Parents! You’ve come to the right place to get all your information about camp. For Summer 2022, we will be offering Wombat Overnight & Teen Leadership Camp Overnight. See our Covid-19 FAQs page for our current procedure to keep your camper safe. As guidance changes, we will update the page. If you have questions about financial aid through our Campership program, check back mid-March. We are working on getting our Campership application process together.

What’s unique about Camp Woolman?  Camp Woolman is unique because of its small size, noncompetitive nature, and special focus on environmental and peace education. Our campers are constantly telling us that camp taught them that it is okay to be who they are – in fact, it’s great to be who they are! One of the best things about our camp is the diversity of kids that come here, and our staff’s effort to celebrate everyone’s unique ways of simply being themselves.

Who comes to Camp?  We have homeschoolers, public schoolers, and private schoolers, world travelers, homebodies, athletic kids, artists, musicians, scientists, never been outside before kids, never want to go inside kids, loud kids, shy kids, etc. Everyone is accepted for who they truly are at camp, and creating a compassionate and supportive community is our number one goal. Camp is about having fun, being independent, making friends, and challenging yourself to try out new things.

“She returned home vibrant and excited. She regaled all of us with stories of her camp experience and as her mother, I can see that it was a transformational experience for her. My daughter has always been a strong, independent person, but she was able to build new competencies which has given her more confidence. Thank you to all of the staff that made this experience possible.” – Parent of a Camper
