My son was an enthusiastic Woolman Semester student (Fall 2013) as an 11th grader. Boarding with roommates in a cabin and participating in the life of the community, he partook of an intellectually, socially and spiritually challenging experience, with Quaker values and Non-Violent Communication woven into the program. His love of Woolman was infectious, and I loved the occasions we visited Woolman together, long after his own graduation. Serving on the board has connected me with my Quaker heritage and given me the chance to be useful in stewarding Woolman for the benefit of future students.
