Three individuals: Cathy Lenox (class of ’71), a professional writer, Lisa Frankel an historian, and Paul Jolly (class of ’78) got together recently and wondered how they might write a book about Woolman. Such a book could cover the school’s 50 year history and the impact that alumni have had in the world. The idea received positive support from Woolman alumni and supporters.
To fund the project, the threesome set up a Kickstarter campaign with a goal of raising $24,000 by April 1. As of February 24 $17,000 has been committed from 59 supporters. Kickstarter has an all-or-nothing policy, and if the goal is not met by the deadline, the funds must be returned to supporters.

If there are any funds raised that exceed costs for this project they will be donated to Woolman.
Note: The alumni and friends of the school promoting and writing the book are not formally affiliated with Woolman or CPFEA. CPFEA endorses any effort to recognize the long-standing legacy of Woolman and the life-long impact the school has had on alumni from both John Woolman School and the Woolman Semester School.
