Peace Documentary Screenings
Please note a change in location: Due to snow, we will be holding the screening here at Woolman in the Meetinghouse. The time is the same - 7 p.m..
Please join us for our annual screening of Woolman students' Peace Documentaries at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains! Students have spent every Friday afternoon in documentary class gaining an expanded understanding of documentary film, the role it plays in society, and the relationship between art and activism. In teams, they design, produce, direct, and edit a ten minute film exploring an issue impacting self, community, and society. Documentary topics this semester include gender identity and expression, drug use and abuse, the role social media plays in beauty norms, history of the John Woolman School, and more!
For past examples of students' documentaries, please check out our YouTube channel.
All are invited to our free public screening on Saturday, December 7th, beginning at 7 PM. UUCM is located at 246 S. Church Street in Grass Valley, at the corner of South Church and Walsh. We look forward to celebrating with you there!
