US-Mexico Service Learning Trip

Led by our Global Issues Teacher, Emily Zionts, Woolman student and interns travel to the US-Mexico border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico to study globalization and border issues. As part of the trip students will make the walk to the border fence, visit a Mexican factory, volunteer at a Migrant Resource Center, interview a border patrol officer, and visit a fair trade coffee cooperative. The Mexico Trip coordinates with our Global Issues curriculum, which includes units on Mexico, NAFTA, WTO, and US immigration policy.
